Sustainability
I do what I can to make my business as sustainable as possible; and as I grow, I hope to do even more.
I sew everything myself - no fast fashion here! By controlling the production from start to finish, I can ensure that I minimise fabric waste. I do small batch production and made-to-order. I also limit the amount of fabric I purchase and maintain a small selection of them.
For my kids clothes, each item is designed to have elements that help grow with your child to minimise waste and maximise wearability. Like adding adjustable straps, elastic waists and shirring, and so on.
Same for my women's collection, each item is meant to be worn during all seasons of life and as your body my change. Less waste, more sustainable. Elastic waists, loose dresses and tops - I find them more forgiving them fitted clothes with zips or buttons, so they can be worn on days where you're feeling a bit bloated or when you're feeling svelte.
I also keep all my fabric scraps and use them to make accessories or unique, one-off pieces in order to reduce waste (e.g. baby booties, scrunchies, hairbands, key fob straps, etc).
Has your kid outgrown their Sew Way of K item?
Then send it back my way and I'll give you 10% off your next purchase. I'll either donate, resell or re-use the fabric to turn it into something new.
I'm afraid I don't provide a discount for any accessories or baby booties returned to me for upcycling or reuse.
